These Terms and Conditions govern your use of falconglobal.co.ke and the services offered by Falcon Global Education Forum (“Falcon”, “we” or “us”), including membership, events and consulting. By using the website, joining the Forum or registering for an event, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Falcon Global Education Forum is an international community for educators, school leaders, researchers and education experts. We also provide consulting and school support services.

These terms apply to your use of falconglobal.co.ke and to the services we offer through it, including membership, events and consulting. If you have a question about them, contact us at info@falconglobal.co.ke.

2. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful purposes connected with education and professional development. You agree not to:

  • use the website in a way that is unlawful, harmful, misleading or abusive;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other users’ information;
  • upload viruses or any other harmful code;
  • copy, scrape or resell website content without our written permission; or
  • pretend to be another person or organisation.

3. Membership

Membership is open to teachers, school leaders, researchers, consultants and other people who work in or care about education. When you apply, you agree to give accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.

We may approve, decline, suspend or end a membership if these terms are broken, if the information given is untrue, or if a member’s conduct harms the Forum or other members. Members are expected to treat one another with respect, to protect the privacy of others and to share ideas in good faith.

4. Events, webinars and conferences

When you register for a webinar, workshop or conference, we will confirm your place by email. Please join using the details we send you, and do not share your personal joining link with others unless we say you may.

We may change the date, time, format or speakers of an event, or cancel it, if we need to. If we do, we will tell the people who registered and explain the options available to them. Some sessions may be recorded, and we will let attendees know when a session is being recorded.

5. Paid sessions and payments

Some sessions are free and some are paid. The price of a paid session is shown on its event page, in the currency stated there, before you register.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, and your place is confirmed once we receive your payment. The cancellation, transfer and refund terms for each paid session are also shown on its event page before you pay. By paying, you agree to those terms.

6. Consulting and school support services

We provide consulting and school support services under a written proposal or agreement that sets out the scope, fees and timeline of the work. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement applies to those services.

Sending us a proposal request does not oblige either of us to enter into an agreement. We will treat the information you share about your school as confidential and use it only to respond to your request and to deliver the services you ask for.

7. Your content and contributions

If you submit content to the Forum, such as comments, questions, resources or presentations, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.

You keep ownership of your content. You give Falcon a non-exclusive licence to use, display and share it for the purposes of running and promoting the Forum, and we will credit you where it is reasonable to do so. You can ask us to remove content you have shared by emailing us.

8. Intellectual property

The website and everything on it, including text, design, logos, graphics, event materials and resources, belongs to Falcon or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may view and download our materials for your own professional use. You may not reproduce, publish, sell or distribute them, or create something new from them, without our written permission. Speakers keep the rights in their own presentations and materials.

9. Disclaimers

We work to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is always complete or error free. The content is provided for general educational and professional development purposes and is not legal, financial or other professional advice.

The results of consulting, training and events depend on many factors, including how a school applies what it learns. We do not guarantee a particular outcome. The website is provided as it is, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Falcon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, income, data or opportunity, that arise from your use of the website, events or materials.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Third-party links and services

The website and our events may use or link to services run by other organisations, such as video-conferencing tools, payment providers and social media platforms. These services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to the website, your membership or your registration for an event if you break these terms. You may stop using the website, or end your membership, at any time by emailing us. Sections that by their nature should continue after that, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the website, joining the Forum or registering for an event, you confirm that you have read it.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved that way, the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction, unless the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. If you keep using the website or our services after a change, you accept the updated terms. We will take reasonable steps to let members know about significant changes.
